Terms of use

Version 0.2 · Last updated 14 October 2026

Olvo is a free public beta, provided as is. It helps you plan your money; it is not financial advice.

About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and the maker of Olvo (“we”). By using the app you accept them. Questions: buildstream@protonmail.com.

A beta, free for now

Olvo is in public beta. It is free during the beta, it is still changing, and features may change or be removed. A paid plan is planned for later; it will come with its own terms, and nothing will be charged without your clear agreement.

Not financial advice

Olvo is a tool for planning and tracking your own spending. Its numbers, suggestions and messages are general information calculated from what you enter. They are not financial, tax, legal or investment advice, and they don’t take your full situation into account. Decisions about your money are yours; for advice, talk to a qualified professional.

Your data and backups

Your budget is stored only on your device (see the privacy policy). We have no copy and cannot recover it. You are responsible for keeping backups: use Settings › Export, and keep the file somewhere safe.

Using Olvo

Use Olvo for your own lawful, personal purposes. Don’t try to break, overload or misuse the app or the services it runs on. The name, logo, design and code are ours; you may not copy or resell them.

Provided “as is”

Olvo is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We don’t promise that it will always be available, free of errors, or that calculations will suit your situation. Check important numbers yourself.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost data, or financial decisions made using the app, and our total liability to you is limited to [€50]. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.

If you are a consumer in the EU, you keep all the rights the law of your country gives you; these terms don’t take them away.

Ending

You can stop using Olvo at any time; to remove your data, use Settings › Erase all data or clear the app’s storage. We may end the beta or the app; if we do, we will give reasonable notice where we can, and your data stays on your device so you can still export it.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the version and date at the top will change. If a change matters, the app will tell you. Continuing to use Olvo after that means you accept the new terms.

Law and disputes

[Portuguese law] governs these terms. Disputes go to the courts of [Lisbon, Portugal], unless the law gives you, as a consumer, the right to go to the courts where you live. Consumers in Portugal can also use an alternative dispute resolution entity: [entity, e.g. CNIACC].
